The Gambling Commission has come down heavily on 888, one of Britain’s largest online gambling firms.  As a result of some major failings in its handling of vulnerable customers, the betting firm has been fined over £7.8million.

Following the Competition and Markets Authority taking enforcement action against online gambling companies suspected of breaching consumer law, the 888 fine is yet another warning to the gambling industry that it is under intense scrutiny.
